The brief
MSS designed a curved, peanut-shaped LED screen room and needed a film of what standing inside feels like.
The constraint
A curved wall bends everything. Flat content wraps wrong, and no camera can film an unbuilt room.
What we decided
Model the real curve
A Cassini oval parameterised by arc length, with panels at true spacing along 28.5 m.
1,200 panels in one draw
Instanced rendering puts every panel on screen in a single draw call.
Reproject instead of stretching
Cubemap reprojection maps the content onto the curved wall.
Render it as a film
Remotion drives the Three.js scene frame by frame into a real video file.
The outcome
A finished film of the room, ready to show and discuss before the build.
